Srimati Radharani is the supreme goddess of fortune and the eternal consort of Lord Krishna. Join us in celebrating Her divine appearance day.
Article
Radhashtami, the appearance day of Srimati Radharani, is one of the most sacred and intimate festivals in the Vaishnava calendar. Srimati Radharani is the eternal consort of Lord Krishna and the embodiment of pure devotional love (prema-bhakti).
Who is Srimati Radharani?
Srimati Radharani is the supreme goddess of fortune and the source of all the goddesses of fortune (Lakshmis). She is the internal potency (hladini-shakti) of Lord Krishna, representing the highest form of divine love and devotion.
The Significance of Radhashtami
Radharani appeared on the eighth day (Ashtami) of the bright fortnight of the month of Bhadrapada, 15 days after Janmashtami. Her appearance in this world is for the purpose of demonstrating the pinnacle of devotional service to Lord Krishna.
"Srimati Radharani is the transformation of Krishna's love. She is His internal energy, and Her influence is more powerful than that of the Supreme Lord Himself." - Chaitanya Charitamrita
